Metafiction by David Detrich

Metamorphic Fictive Transformation of the Soft Voice into Syllogistic Interaction is an introductory essay to the screenplay version of The Convergence of Two Narrative Lines Ascending by David Detrich. It is an innovative semiotic Criti/Fiction that has a four part asymmetrical structure which features the narrator in ruffled shirt: the tuxedo pirate / starman / cowboy who admires the story * dancer * intelligence: Me. The plot outline is summarized by a butterfly, as the tuxedo starman contemplates the face of the upturned flower petaled beauty. The typographic design revolutionizes literary publishing with the turn of a page.

David Detrich lives in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where he has just completed The Convergence of Two Narrative Lines Ascending, an ultramodern Surrealist novel written in minimal squares. He is working on Dream the Presence of the Circular Breast Starfish Topography, a monumental Surrealist novel written with innovative typographical design. His first novel Big Sur Marvels & Wondrous Delights (2001) is available from Amazon. He edits Innovative Fiction Magazine and Surrealist Star Clustered Illuminations.
